Solar Eclipse

On June 1, 2011, around 23:04 speaking from Belgrade (Serbia), there will be a solar eclipse at 11* Gemini 02 and it will be visible from the territory of the United States - only Alaska, northern Canada, China, Iceland, Greenland, Norway, Japan, North Korea, Russia…
The duration of the eclipse: it begins at 19:25:17 and ends at 23:06:57. The maximum eclipse will be felt at 21:17:18.

Eclipse on Na'ir al Dabaran (fixed star) bestows the honor, eloquence, cruelty, rebellion, the threat of violence. In eclipse: energy and perseverance, the risk of losing the material, the success and wealth after shame and destruction, fever and violent death. It causes the demolition of buildings, medical centers, aircrafts.

Beliefs...“For us the whole thing about the eclipse is not so simple, because in our tradition there are various monsters and beliefs that swoop on the Sun (and the Moon): werewolf, dragons, witches, snakes, devils.

The dragons are especially dangerous. They have two heads and six fingers on their arms and legs and can turn into various animals and people. Some, however, believed that the solar eclipse comes from the fact that the Sun gets sheltered with the backs of St. Elijah and the Devil while they fight with each other. And there were also beliefs that the eclipse occurs because the Sun and Moon get into a fight and when the Moon overpowers, the Sun is not visible.

However, in most cases, a monster of some kind, wants to eat the Sun. Hence, it is said about the eclipse, among our people, that the Sun eats itself, respectively, the expression ‘to eat oneself out’ has the meaning ‘to eclipse’. If you view the solar eclipse, you can be sure that no matter how you strain on your eyes, you will not notice any witches or dragons or any other beasts or even saints there. Simply, none of these creatures are seen, even if the eclipse is observed with the Hubble.

However, there are special methods by which, if you believe the crones and fortunetellers, all this and even more, can be seen. The trick is not to observe the event itself directly, but its reflection in the water. Direct observation of the eclipse is harmful, not only in the case of solar eclipses, but also when it comes to the eclipses of the Moon, because, it is said to be bringing evil to a human being. Instead, a dish is used and filled with water and then the reflection of the sun is caught in the water and the eclipse is observed like in a mirror. As for the type of dish, a pot is recommended.

Of course, as the Full Moon (lunar eclipse) is primarily felt by women and it concerns more emotions and the soul...solar eclipse (eclipse of the Sun) will mainly affect men.
It is necessary to check whether eclipse creates any aspect with your natal planets, whether in any way “engages” the light bodies or their disposer. So, wherever the solar eclipse falls for you, expect to turn over a new page in your life.

Generally, if you find a “transit” solar eclipse in your:

History of eclipses

Around 9000 solar eclipses occurred in the last 4000 years. The earliest record that mentions a solar eclipse of some kind comes from China. It was made in 2136 (other sources claim it was in 2159) BC and it states that the court astronomers Xi and He did not anticipate solar eclipse (October 22, that year) and were therefore condemned to death and executed.

Thales (of Miletus, 6th century BC) was probably the wisest of the Hellenic seven wise men. He learned astronomy from Chaldean priests, as a young man, while traveling around the world. Chaldeans were the best observers of the sky and knew the formula for calculating the date of eclipse in a period of a thousand years.

Thales predicted the solar eclipse that happened on May 28, in 585 BC, according to the present calendar. The eclipse happened right at the time when the Lydians and the Persians were in the midst of battle. The disappearance of the sun frightened the warring parties, so the cease-fire was signed.

The oldest record of the solar eclipse in the Serbian region was marked on November 30, in 1331. The king Stefan of Decani died that year. Actually, the king died on November 11, a few days prior to the eclipse, as it usually happens (all accidents happen a few days prior to or after the eclipse).
